Dr. Weiss was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland. He went to College at the University of Virginia. He subsequently went medical school (M.D. 1984) and did his internal medicine residency (1984-87) and cardiology fellowship (1987-1990) at the University of Maryland. He practiced Interventional Cardiology at Louisiana State University Hospital in Shreeveport, LA and subsequently moved to Knoxville in 2004 to practice with West Knoxville Heart. He is a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
